大悲精神

Zen

大慈无畏遍十方,
悲心悯慰周法界。

此乃赞叹诸佛菩萨的慈悲愿行,拯众生之因厄,而安顿于快乐之境。大悲佛教中心源系“大悲院”,是供养观世音大士之道场, 故以“大悲观音”为典范,依菩萨在因地中以“闻、思、修”证得圆通作行愿。

菩萨由发大慈悲心之故,无畏一切恐怖,处处以救护众生为根本;以小我而完成大我的精神遍及十方法界。

因“大慈”而引发“悲心”的产生,便自然实践怜悯众生的诸多烦恼苦难,以智慧,辨才无碍之力量,慰恤,鼓励,开解,慈爱的行愿普及各方角落,乃至无穷无尽的世界,使到我们虽生活在“五浊恶世”,亦得“清凉自在”,大同世界也会逐步实现。

同时也鼓励初学者,效仿观音菩萨的慈悲无畏,以悯慰众生为本,在学佛过程中,尽量发挥慈悲喜舍精神使众生受益利乐。

May Loving Kindness and compassion pervades the world,
alleviating fear and giving solace to all beings.

Such are the praises of the compassionate aspirations and practices of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to liberate sentient beings from suffering and place them in the bliss of liberation. Tai Pei Buddhist Centre originated from Tai Pei Yuen, Where Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva is being worshipped. Thus Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva is taken as the exemplary model in our practice of “listening to the Dharma, contemplating and practicing the Dharma”, to gain enlightenment.

Out of great compassion, the Bodhisattva aspires to liberate all sentient beings, appeasing their minds of fear. She is ever ready to give herself to each sentient being, without thinking of her own happiness even for an instant. Her spirit of altruism pervades the Buddha worlds in the ten directions, thus benefiting countless sentient beings.

Arising from great loving kindness is compassion, with which one would try to elevate sentient beings from their various afflictions. Consoling, encouraging and advising beings with wisdom and eloquence, one is able to spread loving kindness to every corner of the world, and even the infinite worlds beyond.

In this way, the defiled world that we live in would be transformed into one that is pure and free of afflictions. A pure land could then gradually be actualized.

Arising from great loving kindness is compassion, with which one would try to elevate sentient beings from their various afflictions. Consoling, encouraging and advising beings with wisdom and eloquence, one is able to spread loving kindness to every corner of the world, and even the infinite worlds beyond.

At the same time, we would also like to encourage beginners in Buddhism to learn from the loving kindness and compassion of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, and make the cultivation of compassion the basis of our practice. It is also our hope that in their course of learning, they develop the four immeasurable practice of loving kindness, compassion, joy and equanimity to benefit all sentient beings.
